Gary R Swanson is VERY WELL KNOWN and respected as one of the finest wildlife painters in modern times. This is one of his very first publicly offered ticker prints(the art is on canvas NOT a flat sheet of paper). There was only 1000 of these prints produced in 1975, it was never reproduced again. This is number #407 and is entitled “The Lion Family”. It is autographed and numbered in pencil by Gary R Swanson himself. This piece of art is 24x36, and very heavy. Shipping is included in the price.
This is a genuine VERY RARE piece of art that’s now 46 years old. The frame is sealed on the back, wired for hanging and bears the original seal from the Mt Caramel gallery in California where it was originally sold.
Gary R Swanson’s son Trevor lives in Phoenix Arizona and can be contacted on his website. He expressed to me this was one of his favorite pieces from his childhood, very rare, almost never changes owners. You may never see another copy of this EVER!
